Supported Charity
Blue Star Rowing Logo

The Blue Star Rowing team are taking on the world’s toughest row in order to raise funds and awareness for Gym Possible.

They’re aiming to become one of a small number of people to row non-stop across the Atlantic, all in order to support Gym Possible’s work, helping to create a state-of-the-art accessible gym combining physiotherapy and counselling services, as well as a café, all enabling disabled athletes to achieve greater independence, to foster social connections and support mental wellbeing.

Surviving 50 days at sea and covering 3,000 miles, the Blue Star Rowing team is made up of Oli Smith, Mark Watson and Archie Dickinson, non of whom have any real rowing experience! In awe of their endeavour, Living North are delighted to support the charity at Living North LIVE this year.

Go to bluestar-rowing.com to find out more. We caught up with Oli, Mark and Archie to ask why they wanted to take on the challenge in our April issue. Read the interview here.
