Held on Saturday 2nd December at Newcastle Racecourse, you could be at one of the main events in Newcastle to see some of the finest hurdlers in the world duelling for this historic prize.
This is the first Grade 1 hurdle of the jumps racing season; it takes its title from the nickname of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. The Fighting Fifth's winners' roll of honour is a who's who of hurdling greats. They include recent Champion Hurdler Constitution Hill, as well as legendary names from horse racing's past such as Epatante and Not So Sleepy.
