Barbour are celebrating 40 years of their iconic Beaufort jacket, and to help celebrate Living North have two limited edition Beaufort jackets to give away to one lucky couple.
Designed by Dame Margaret Barbour and launched in 1983, the Beaufort has become one of Barbour’s most recognised styles and is forever synonymous with the British countryside. The brown corduroy collar, large two-way chunky zip, handwarmer and bellow pockets and a full width rear zipped pocket in a classic 6oz waxed cotton, have made this jacket stand out for 40 years.
Made in Barbour’s factory in South Shields, this practical, fit for purpose, multi-generational lifestyle jacket is a must have wardrobe piece, whether it’s for dog walking, the school run or going to a festival. A global icon, it continues to be worn across the generations from farmers to musicians, designers and royalty, and today is seen as often in cities as it is in the country.
To celebrate this landmark, Barbour has produced a 40th anniversary limited edition of the Beaufort. With all the features of the original jacket, it has a covetable back neck label marking the 40th anniversary and studs engraved with Beaufort 40. It incorporates the tradition and heritage of the original Beaufort jacket with a simple contemporary touch, and we have two to give away.
