Outrageously popular, and rightly so, during the warmer months there’s always a queue here – but it’s well-worth the wait. With a stunning location right on King Edward’s Bay, the menu is packed full of the freshest seafood all cooked perfectly and it changes regularly. Booking is definitely advised, especially if you want a prime spot on the balcony overlooking the sea. Fire pits on the sand (with deckchairs provided) are bookable for a fee (£15). Just up the road in Tynemouth village they also have a second venue, Riley’s Fish Shop, a chef-led fishmongers, restaurant and deli.
