–Monday 20th February–

Better, 9pm, BBC One

In this new five-part drama set and shot in Leeds and West Yorkshire, a corrupt copper and a gangster are brought together by decades of dishonesty, but the cop wants to turn her life around. It’s a complex bond and this series looks to attract fans of Happy Valley. This is episode two but all five episodes are available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

–Tuesday 21st February–

Desperate Measures, 9pm, Channel 5

Another new series to add to your watchlist, this thriller stars Amanda Abbington.

A bank clerk’s life is turned upside down when she’s forced to pay off her son's debts to a gangster. This four-parter will air from Tuesday to Friday at 9pm.

Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, Netflix

Previously a high-flying lawyer, Alex Murdaugh is on trial for murder, charged with killing his wife and son. A tight-knit community is shocked after the horrifying secrets of this powerful family are exposed. Don’t miss this limited true crime documentary coming to Netflix on Wednesday.

Fleishman is in Trouble, Disney+

Coming to Disney+ on Wednesday, recently divorced Toby dives into the world of app-based dating but his ex-wife disappears, leaving him with an 11- and nine-year-old. As he balances parenting and dating, he realises that he'll never be able to figure out what happened to his ex-wife until he faces what happened to their marriage.

–Friday 24th February–

Beyond Paradise, 8pm, BBC One

If you’re a fan of Death in Paradise, you’ll love this. DI Humphrey Goodman (the best DI on Death in Paradise in our opinion – sorry Neville) has relocated from Saint Marie to Shipton Abbott. But he’s still cracking cases and he’s still with his fiancée Martha. With the same vibes but a different climate, we’re expecting great things from this new series.

Harry Wild, 8pm, Channel 5

In another new series, recently retired English professor Harry is injured in a mugging. While recovering she looks at her police detective son’s files and realises his latest investigation reminds her of an obscure Elizabethan play – then decides to solve the crime herself.

World's Most Secret Hotels, 6.45pm, Channel 4

Take a trip to the Scottish wilderness to search for spaceships and a visit to the Welsh mountains for mysterious-looking spheres. Plus, discover a tower in Greece with a deadly history and a hotel perched on a glacier in Italy. All that without even leaving your sofa.

The Reluctant Traveller, Apple TV+
