Skipton’s award-winning grand café, bar and terrace is a great place to spend World Cocktail Day. From Alexander’s signature cocktails and fizz to craft beers and gins, there’s plenty of choice here. Take a seat outside on the terrace or in the secret garden and soak up the sun as you sip on the Cherry Blossom, the Pretty in Pink or Alexander’s Royale cocktails. For those not drinking but still wanting to enjoy something refreshing, there are plenty of mocktails, with our personal favourite being the Sacha Summer.

The Lexington Rooftop Bar
When the sun is shining there’s nowhere better to drink cocktails than The Lexington Rooftop Bar in the heart of Hull, and when the sun goes down, the outdoor heaters mean you can linger a little longer. This neighbourhood restaurant and late-night bar, just a few streets away from York’s iconic Shambles, focuses on locally-sourced and foraged ingredients. Looking for your own oasis? Head upstairs and through the bookcase to find the secret garden bar, Wild by Forage, for an intimate drinking space serving the same mesmerising cocktails.
