The Red House was built in 1922 by the British industrialist Sir Arthur John Dorman

We take a peek inside.

True to its name, this property has a classic red-brick exterior, which is softened by climbing greenery. An entrance vestibule leads you into the main house past a WC and cloakroom. Most of the ground floor has an open-plan design, but there is an enclosed music room with an open fire. As you make your way along the hallway into the kitchen, a dividing wall has been used to create a study.

The kitchen has dramatic tiled flooring and high gloss black cabinetry across its units, including on a large central island that houses an induction hob and extractor. There are also integrated triple ovens, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher.

The kitchen space blends seamlessly into dining room and the orangery, which has a roof lantern and bifold doors onto the garden terrace. There is also a large sitting room with an open plan fire place.

There are four bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a large ensuite with an inset bath and separate walk-in shower. One more of these bedrooms is an ensuite, while another bedroom has a free-standing copper bath, and another a window seat curved around a bay window. There are also two family bathrooms and a dressing room on this floor. The second floor has three further bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room.

There is an attached triple garage with electric doors to the front of the property, above which is a gymnasium, steam room and office that is accessed via stairs leading from the kitchen.

The outdoor facilities at the Red House are extensive. The property is set within four acres of gardens and grounds, within which is a tennis court, and a stables and paddock for equestrians.
