Although they were both living in Newcastle at the time they actually met on the beach at Koh Phi Phi, Thailand and got engaged seven years later in Greece after Chris returned from two months on tour in South Africa with the British & Irish Lions rugby team. The couple celebrated with friends that night in Interni, Mykonos.
